An odd mixture of beachcombing and technology. Sea Glass and Beachcombing Resources. Sea glass information and links to sea glass jewelry sites. Sea glass starts out as broken bottles whose shards end up in the ocean. The action of the waves and sand buffs the sharp glass pieces into smooth, colorful pebbles that look like little gems.
